Our Function Menu for 2010

So you are having a function!  We are here to help you make it a more memorable event by assisting you in choosing just the right menus for your guests.

Below we offer you up to four courses, namely:  starters, main courses, cheese and desserts.  You may choose any three dishes from each course to be on your final menu.  This choice will then be presented to your guests on the day of your function. 

Remember that functions are only booked once a deposit has been paid AND our Conditions for a Function Reservation form is completed.

Function Menu

 

Starters

 

Group A – R48

• Pan Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables coated in Pepperoni Sauce with Basil Pesto, Garlic, Balsamic and Olive Oil resting on a Seasoned Salad

• Bobotie Doosies – Pan Fried Bobotie Parcels with a Sweet Coriander Chutney.

• Snails drenched in a Spiced Garlic Butter topped with Bacon, Blue Vein Cheddar resting on Stone Bread.

• Kanonkop Firecrackers – Handmade Spring Rolls of Chicken and Julienne Vegetables drizzled with our Sweet ‘n Chilli.

• Baby Calamari with a Smokey Jalapeño and Coriander Mayonnaise.

• Mussels tossed in a Provinciale Sauce with Garlic and Parmesan Croutons

• Mussels tossed in a Thai Green Curry and Coconut Cream.

  

Main

 

Group A – R98

• Cape Malay Traditional Chicken Curry  served with homemade Chutney and Poppadums.

• Medium Sirloin served with 3 Peppercorn and Cognac  Sauce.

• Cajun Spiced Calamari Steak glazed with a Lemon Beurre Blanc.

• Grilled Line Fish with Lemon Beurre Blanc

• Pork Neck topped with Caramelised Port Wine and Caraway Onions

 

Group B – R110

• Medium Grilled Sirloin with Shrimp, Cheese and Mushroom Sauce topped with Tobacco Onions.

• Grilled Line Fish with a Feta and Lemon Pesto Cream.

• Pork Neck with a White Wine Mustard Gherkin Cream with Sweet Mashed Potato.

• Medium Grilled Sirloin topped with a Grilled Prawn and Spicy Sriracha and Coriander Gravy

   

  

Group C – Priced on Request

• Fillet

• Prawns

 

All main dishes are served with pan seared seasonal vegetables

along with Roasted New Potatoes

  

Cheese

• Spring Rolls filled with a Three kinds of Cheese served with a Ginger and Muskadel Syrup.  –  R45

Group A – R35

Group B – 45

• Hazelnut and Chocolate Sauce coated Vanilla Ice Cream.

• Apple Snapple (Pan Fried Apple and Exotic Nuts served on Lemon Custard Crème and Ice Cream).

• Nougat Spring Rolls with a Rum Syrup and Cinnamon Ice Cream.

• Printing of Menus - R150

• Hiring of Round Tables and Round Tablecloths is at an extra charge of R60.00 per table setting.  This is compulsory for functions over 20 guests.  Tables seat a maximum of 8 - 10 guests per table
